Making a Parade…a Festival….


The Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead Festival planning has begun! The date has been chosen, Saturday, October 29th, 2016 at Walker Square Park. Everyone is always invited to participate in this traditional celebration that includes the annual procession, a 2nd annual 5k Walk/Run Para Los Muertos/For The Dead, an Art Market, food, music, Aztec Danzas, Ofrendas, Offerings, face painting, Community Shrine, Vigil For Peace and so much more.

This year I have been invited to present at the Educator’s for Social Justice 9th Annual Anti Racist/Anti Bias Teachers Conference held annually at the Indian Community School. The workshop is called, A Pedagogical Approach to Death: Día de los Muertos A Traditional Festival. Flyer is posted below.
